Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Your responsibility

The project “Food coalitions beyond the local scale: spaces for a democratic sustainability transformation of food systems?”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), focuses on cross-border initiatives to promote sustainable and democratic agricultural and food systems. This transdisciplinary project is being carried out in cooperation with the University of Basel and BOKU University Vienna.   • Assisting with the research and characterization of cross-border initiatives promoting sustainable and democratic agricultural and food systems (20%)
  • Researching and compiling relevant academic literature (excerpts) (20%)
  • Providing substantive support in documenting interviews (20%)
  • Contributing substantively to the preparation, compilation, and analysis of results (30%)
  • Support in preparing the content for academic events(10%)

Your profile

Required criteria:

  • Basic knowledge of global sustainable food systems
  • Experience with qualitative methods in social research
  • Experience with literature reviews
  • Good command of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire any missing language skills

Preferred criteria:

  • Experience using MAXQDA
  • Strong knowledge of interview data analysis
