Your responsibility
The successful candidate will support the research hub of the European Observatory on Health Systems and Policies. Projects deal with health system comparisons and have various focal points: access, equity, financing, resilience, care innovations during the COVID-19 pandemic (among others). The work of the European Observatory has a strong international focus and offers the opportunity to gain experience in working with international organizations (EU, OECD, WHO).
- Support in conducting systematic literature reviews and synthesizing scientific literature, as well as researching background information on various topics in the field of health policy (40%)
- Support in processing and analyzing data from international databases (OECD, WHO, Eurostat) as well as working with national datasets (40%)
- Editorial support in the preparation and revision of scientific texts (20%)
Your profile
Mandatory requirements
- Basic knowledge of health systems and health policy at the national (German) and/or international level
- Experience in working with statistical databases such as those of the OECD, WHO, or Eurostat
- Initial practical experience in using statistical software
- Confident use of common Office programs
- Very good command of English, both written and spoken
Desirable requirements
- Strong academic writing skills (optional submission of a reading sample as proof of ability)
- Ability to work independently, carefully, and efficiently, combined with a quick grasp of new tasks
- Initial experience with research questions in the field of health sciences
- Experience in quantitative analysis
- Good command of German, both written and spoken
