The position is part of the research conducted in the “MOSAIC” graduate network with several institutes of RWTH Aachen University, which aims to investigate acoustic well-being in a context-dependent manner. The activities include the following areas:

• Support in the design and implementation of audiovisual test environments in Unreal Engine and their connection to acoustic simulation tools (60%)
• Participation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of human experiments to assess acoustic perception (40%)

Mandatory criteria:

• Experience in developing VR applications with HMDs, tracking systems, and Blueprints Visual Scripting or C++
• Good programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or Pure Data
• Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills

Optional criteria:

• Basic knowledge of virtual acoustics and digital signal processing
• Experience with embedded systems and corresponding programming
