Student assistant (40 hours per month)
Your responsibility
The position is part of the research conducted in the “MOSAIC” graduate network with several institutes of RWTH Aachen University, which aims to investigate acoustic well-being in a context-dependent manner. The activities include the following areas:
- Support in the design and implementation of audiovisual test environments in Unreal Engine and their connection to acoustic simulation tools (60%)
- Participation in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of human experiments to assess acoustic perception (40%)
Your profile
Mandatory criteria:
- Experience in developing VR applications with HMDs, tracking systems, and Blueprints Visual Scripting or C++
- Good programming skills in MATLAB, Python, or Pure Data
- Good knowledge of German and/or English required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
Optional criteria:
- Basic knowledge of virtual acoustics and digital signal processing
- Experience with embedded systems and corresponding programming
