PYURE is the leading solution in CO2-attribution and -reduction for the advertising industry. The company offers the first SaaS platform powered for the decarbonisation of advertising for advertisers, media owners, media agencies and AdTech companies to automatically make any advertising climate-efficient and less wasteful. With its European technology, PYURE is able to realise CO2 reductions of up to 90 percent, while at the same time increasing campaign performance - more cost-efficient and sustainable than carbon offsetting. The Berlin-based company was founded in 2024.

Climate protection with SaaS - Working student / Master's thesis

For the further development of Pyure GmbH, we are looking for motivated computer scientists and media informatics specialists who want to work with us to promote real climate protection.

Tasks

*About Pyure*
Pyure develops innovative solutions to make the environmental impact of digital products and services measurable and reducible. With our platform, we create transparency about digital emissions and help companies act more sustainably.

*Your role*
As a working student in Research & Development, you will support us in further developing our calculation methods for digital emissions. You will work closely with our core team and contribute your own ideas and analyses to strengthen the scientific basis of our platform.

*Your tasks*
Supporting the development and improvement of methods for calculating and weighting digital emissions (e.g., energy consumption of IT infrastructures, software, and cloud services)

Literature and data research on current scientific approaches and standards in the field of green IT, life cycle assessment (LCA), and sustainability

Analyzing and preparing data for modeling and validating the calculation methods

Collaborating on the implementation of the methods in the Pyure platform (in close cooperation with our engineering team)

Documenting the research results and deriving recommendations for action

Requirements

*Your profile*

Enrolled student in computer science, mathematics, environmental sciences, engineering, or a related field

  • Interest in sustainability, green IT, and emissions calculations
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis, statistics, or modeling is an advantage
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python, R, or comparable languages) are desirable
  • Independent, structured, and analytical way of working
  • Enjoy learning about complex topics and developing innovative solutions
