Working student (m/f/d) on a chemistry degree program

Tasks

A day in your life at Atotech Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG
In your role as a working student (m/f/d) on a chemistry degree program you will support us for 2 years in an important development project (in the field of glass metallization) to achieve our goal of developing leading PTH (Plating through hole)/STT (Surface Treatment Technology) solutions for next-generation IC substrates. You will support the team to design, develop, execute and implement scientific research projects.

Your responsibilities

  • Laboratory experiments with glass pretreatment
  • Electroless copper deposition on glass
  • Adhesion performance test like peel strength investigation
  • Reporting and presentation of experiments and results
  • Close collaboration with and support from other functions/specialist groups/sister organizations

Requirements

What you bring to the table

  • Enrolled student in the field of chemical engineering, chemistry or material science
  • A sense of responsibility when handling hazardous substances
  • You enjoy working in the laboratory and have basic knowledge in chemical wet- and photometric analysis
  • Good technical and chemical understanding as well as affinity and understanding of digital and operational processes
  • Very good written and spoken English skills
  • Strong analytical skills, structured approach and the ability to reduce complexity
  • You will work with us for approx. 15-20 hours/week for 24 months starting immediately. Our office is in Berlin-Moabit. You will earn 16,64 Euro/hour.
