About us

The Chair of Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) is looking to expand our Team Office, which currently consists of two colleagues who jointly support the Chairs of Technology and Innovation Management (TIM), Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management (EIM), Marketing (MAR), and Strategic Leadership and Sustainability Management (SLS).
As part of our self-organized Team Office, you will be an engaged professional responsible for administrative activities in the areas of research, teaching, international cooperation, and externally funded research projects. You will take ownership of a broad range of administrative responsibilities in a varied and dynamic work environment. Together with your colleagues, you will help shape and continuously improve the administrative processes of the four chairs while working closely with researchers, students, international partner institutions, and central university administration.

Your responsibility

  • Working as part of the self-organized Team Office (Pool Secretariat) supporting the four chairs (TIM, EIM, MAR, and SLS), including close collaboration and mutual backup within the team.
  • Providing active administrative and operational support to the heads of the chairs in the areas of finance, human resources, teaching, project management, and event organization.
  • Performing general office management duties.
  • Managing financial, personnel, and administrative processes, including budget and cost controlling, procurement, and business travel administration.
  • Providing administrative support for national and international research projects and externally funded projects.
  • Supporting HR processes, from preparing job advertisements and recruitment procedures to onboarding new employees.
  • Organizing and coordinating administrative processes related to teaching and student affairs.
  • Corresponding with researchers, students, partner institutions, and university administration in both German and English.
  • Supporting the planning and organization of internal and external events as well as delegation visits.
  • Maintaining and developing the websites of the chairs.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed vocational training as an Administrative Officer, Office Management Specialist, Foreign Language Secretary, or a comparable qualification, or equivalent skills and professional experience.
  • Experience in administration, finance, human resources, and/or project management.
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English.
  • Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of initiative desirable
  • A structured, careful, and independent working style combined with good time management skills desirable
  • Strong service orientation and excellent communication skills desirable
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and enthusiasm for working in a self-organized environment desirable
  • Intercultural competence and enthusiasm for working in an international environment desirable
  • Willingness to independently familiarize yourself with new topics, processes, and IT systems desirable
  • Experience working with SAP or comparable ERP systems desirable
  • Knowledge of administrative, procurement, and financial processes in public institutions or universities desirable
  • Experience managing publicly funded projects desirable
  • Experience organizing and coordinating events, workshops, or international exchange programs desirable
  • Experience using digital administrative and communication systems (e.g., TYPO3, Moses, ISIS, or comparable applications) desirable
