The research group "Computational Neurology" develops machine/deep learning methods along with theory-driven approaches from physics to better monitor, predict and prevent health deteriorations in epilepsy, intensive care and other neurological settings. Our approach utilizes multimodal data over the health-disease continuum, including wearables, in-hospital neuromonitoring, video and EEG. We are also studying the foundations of optimal information processing in biological and artificial intelligence neural networks. We are a highly interdisciplinary group where medical doctors/neurologists work closely together with natural scientists including physicists/data scientists. Our modern lab and office spaces are located in central Berlin at Charité Campus Mitte.
