Tasks
- Production and purification of desferrioxamine B (DFOB), desferrioxamine E (DFOE), bisucaberin (Bis) and other siderophores using native production, genetically modified organisms and cell-free processes for the production of siderophores with the aim of achieving the highest possible siderophore concentration in the titer
- Development of a scalable downstream process for the produced siderophores, in particular using two-phase aqueous extraction system
Requirements
- Completed university studies (Master) in the field of Biotechnology/Biology/Bioprocess engineering or related field
- Knowledge of genetic engineering, protein production and cell-free approach as well as bioprocess engineering, bioproduction, downstream processing and molecular biology
- Experience in bioreactor operation
- Basic knowledge of further processing
- Interest in working in an international team, enjoy teamwork, good time management and interest in applied research
- Fluency in written and spoken English
