AI Engineering Intern (m/f/d)
Type: Internship or Werkstudent | Part-time; Location: Berlin HQ; Duration: Six Months, extension based on performance
Tasks
We are looking for an AI Engineering Intern to join our team in Berlin and help build the tools and infrastructure that power our teams. From Day 1, you will work alongside our technology and investment teams to develop AI-powered solutions that give BIT Capital an edge in understanding markets and companies.
Develop LLM-powered tools to automate and enhance workflows across the firm
Work with APIs and databases to integrate new data into our systems
Contribute to internal tooling that supports our sales & marketing, operations and investment teams
Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities where AI and analytics can add value
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field at a leading technical university
Strong programming skills in Python
Experience in working with coding agents like Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, etc.
You have built something (a side project, open-source contribution, or startup) and can show us your work
Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI/ML frameworks (e.g., working with APIs like OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source models)
Experience with databases (SQL) and building data pipelines
Comfortable working with APIs and integrating external data sources
Nice to have:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) or data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake)
Familiarity with financial data or interest in capital markets
Previous internship or project experience in a fast-paced environment
