Student assistant (40 hours per month)

Tasks

Context:
Participation in the EU-funded project Reincarnate, which aims to develop digital solutions to promote circular planning and reduce waste in the construction industry. You will support the research activities of this large-scale EU-funded project conducted by TU Berlin.
Tasks:
We particularly expect the candidate to support the development of models for predicting the lifespan of different construction elements/products and for assessing the condition of building materials. The work will be integrated into case studies across Europe.
Analyzing measurement data on construction components (50%)
Training statistical models for lifespan prediction (25%)
Documenting results in open data repositories and reports (25%)

Requirements

Must:

  • Excellent English skills in writing and speaking
  • Software development skills
  • Knowledge of probabilistic life cycle assessment methods, fault tree analysis, and Markov chains

Can:

  • Software development skills in the areas of Building Information Modeling and Digital Twins
  • Knowledge in data analysis and ideally in the field of machine learning
