• research and teaching at the Institute of Mathematics, in particular in the field of Dynamic Systems
• teaching duties include exercise classes (4 semester hours for a full-time postion) and seminars in mathematical and related fields
• support in writing externally funded projects

• successfully completed university degree (Diplom, Master or equivalent) and Ph.D. in mathematics
• solid knowledge in discrete integrable systems and discrete differential geometry
• The main focus of research should be on discrete Painlevé equations and on the discretization of integrabl systems of geometric origin
• teaching experience and skills, as well as competences in the organization and administration of courses
• the ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
