The Department of Intelligent Materials and Systems is looking for a

Postdoc (f/m/d) Magnetoelectric Antiferromagnets

Tasks

  • Synthesis of magnetoelectric samples
  • Structural characterization
  • Magnetoelectric characterization
  • Participation in x-ray and neutron beamtime measurements at large scale facilities
  • Ion-beam induced modification of magnetoelectric samples

Requirements

  • Completed PhD in the field of physics, material science or comparable natural sciences
  • Fabrication and characterization of condensed matter samples with ferroic ordering
  • Structural characterization (hard x-rays, neutrons, Raman, electron microscopy), measurements of electrical polarization
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
